Dealing with the rumors
So..Is it true there's a party at Sandy and Chaya's Saturday night? Just checking.
Happy Thanksgiving (a day late)!
Sara and the girls say "Tell them we love them."
We love you. And we say "Hi!" No one else would let me take their picture for this post, so I had to do it myself....(I snuck Pippi and Pammy into the background.) (This is from our Thanksgiving visit to Sara's Dad. )

Parents Weekend at Saint Johns
I hope that as this blog makes its merry way along, everyone will share pictures and stories (or even just stories) about what you have been doing lately. A good example of this sort of thing is Oren's recent post about the webcast version of his radio program, which gave us all a chance to completely and miserably fail to listen to Oren live while we cursed the computer, Bill Gates and the Bearcast (tm) internet radio broadcast network for not being helpful at all. But the point is that at least we knew that Oren was famous and could read about how some other people were able to hear him some of the time. For another example, consider Romy's interesting pictures of people pretending to be Smurfs. OK, stop considering that picture. The point is, she was able to share something with all of us, and that's a good thing.
With that in mind, here is how I spent my last weekend. Parents day at Saint Johns! The color! The pageantry! The marching bands! The spirited football contest! That's right, there weren't any of those things! Well, maybe there was pageantry, but Pammy and I skipped that day and went to DC to visit the museums and see Josh and Beth, who happened to be there that day. We were supposed to meet them at a museum somewhere on the Mall, but they never made it that far, and Pammy and I got tired of museums and went to a book store (big shock, eh). By a coincidence, Beth's friend Laurie had two extra tickets to see the Capitol Steps, a DC comedy troupe that makes up parody songs about politicians and current events. (Sample Capitol Steps lyric: "How do you solve a problem like Korea?")(OK, like you could do better.)(Well, in this family, you probably could do better, but would you want to?). Anyhow, we had a good time, and I'll spare you the whole story about Larry's surprise birthday party and Melissa with the green sweater, because you kind of had to be there . The pictures are: Pammy in her math class (times three for some reason)(since it was a math class, it makes sense that the pictures would multiply, I guess); Pammy in the DC metro station; Pammy's room mate Jennifer in their apartment kitchen; Josh and Beth; and the oldest building on the Saint Johns campus, with typical collegiate collegians being collegial and so forth.
